Privacy policy.

Any information we receive from you will not be shared with anyone else, and we’ll never use it for anything else without your consent. For example, we don’t share your private information with advertisers or third parties. Best practices are followed to ensure your data remains private and secure.

The Information We Collect And Store

We may collect and store the following information when running the Octonius Service:

  • When you register an account, we collect personal information, such as your name and email address.

  • When you use the Service, we automatically record information from your web browser. This may include the Device’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type and locale preferences. 

We also use “cookies”. A cookie is a small data file that we transfer to your Device. We use “persistent cookies” to save your registration ID and authentication information for future logins to the Service. We also use “session ID cookies” to enable certain features of the Service. You can instruct your browser, by changing its options, to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie from the websites you visit. If you do not accept cookies, however, you will not be able to use the Service. This cookie persists in your browser, and you can delete these cookies using your browser settings.

Data Storage

Octonius is a digital workplace where users create content and share it within their organization account. This content is stored secured on Octonius servers (private data centres in Europe) or on the Customer's infrastructure(for on-premise deployments). We do not have access to your username and password for the clouds you connect or the files you store in those clouds (For example, when you share files from your Google drive).  We do not have access to the data and files you store in your Octonius account.

Data Retention

We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you services, you may delete your account. We may retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Consistent with these requirements, we will try to delete your information quickly upon request. Please note, however, that there might be latency in deleting information from our servers, and backed-up versions might exist after deletion.


To delete your ACCOUNT and all personal information(name, email etc.) please go to MY ACCOUNT section and choose DELETE ACCOUNT. If you are not able to access your account and you want to DELETE it, please send an email to customers@octonius.com or ask your administrator to delete it.

Law & Order

We may disclose your information to third parties if we determine that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to (a) comply with the law, (b) protect any person from death or serious bodily injury, (c) prevent fraud or abuse of our users; or (d) protect Octonius’ property and intellectual rights.

Safe Harbour

Octonius complies with the U.S.-EU Safe Harbor Framework and the U.S.-Swiss Safe Harbor Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information from European Union member countries and Switzerland. Octonius is self-certified that it adheres to the Safe Harbor Privacy Principles of notice, choice, onward transfer, security, data integrity, access, and enforcement. In compliance with the US-EU and US-Swiss Safe Harbor Principles, Octonius commits to resolve complaints about your privacy and our collection or use of your personal information. European Union or Swiss citizens with inquiries or complaints regarding this privacy policy should first contact Octonius at support@Octonius.com

Octonius has further committed to refer unresolved privacy complaints under the US-EU and US-Swiss Safe Harbor Principles to an independent dispute resolution mechanism, the BBB EU SAFE HARBOR, operated by the Council of Better Business Bureaus. Changes to our Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may change from time to time. If we make a change to this privacy policy that we believe materially reduces your rights, we will provide you with notice (for example, by email). We may provide notice of changes in other circumstances as well. By continuing to use the Service after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.
